LBC By Ruck 006: Trader Joe’s

Lucy and I headed out for our Sunday ruck earlier than usual as we wanted to put the miles down and still have plenty of time left to celebrate Mother’s Day with Ann. Our destination this past Sunday was Trader Joe’s in the North Los Alto’s Shopping Center on Bellflower Blvd. The Mission: buy flowers for Ann, and Ann’s favorite candy: Scandinavian Swimmers.

Social Distancing and mask-wearing were in full effect. We waited in line to get in the store; once inside, we made our selections, checked-out, and then we headed right back up Bellflower Blvd.

We cut through the Plaza West neighborhood, a housing tract close to where we live but that we hadn’t walked through previously, on into Heartwell Park, and back into Lakewood Village. We put down seven miles in a short time, got home, and spent the rest of the day honoring Annie.
