Rucker 5.0: The purpose-built Rucker 5.0 remains my go-to Ruck for GORUCK Events. The American Tiger Stripe 20L edition has been my true companion from NYC to DC, to Jacksonville, back to NYC—into the East River and on to Ground Zero.
Mackall 45s: I wear Mackall 45s every day at HQ, out on the streets, or on the beach eating miles. I wore them fresh out of the box on Ruck or Die NYC and in every recent GORUCK Event I’ve done. They feature a stylish, old-school retro upper and a performance lower built for the hard miles.
GR3: When flying, I never check a bag and I don’t use roller bags, so I carry the largest possible carry-on Rucksack: the GR3. Inside go my clothes, extra shoes, electronics, books, journal, and a Packable Bullet Ruck as my day bag wherever I go.
Skate Ruck: My EDC is my signature 18L double-compartment Skate Ruck. It’s the simplest and most streamlined Ruck for daily use. The extra-durable nylon skate straps are perfect for carrying a skateboard, snowboard, or any other essentials. This Ruck provides all the pockets and organization I need to travel light and hands-free, including a bombproof laptop compartment.
