Today is the day we’ve been working for—we get to play our music.
Friends, family, and hometown support show up at xBk.
Swing Youth and Old Dogs play strong sets.
We get on stage for the first time as a band. These songs matter to me—they matter to the band—they matter to the audience.
Young people up front sing along—it feels good.
June 4-Iowa City, Iowa
Andrew and Bruce travel with us to Iowa City to document the show.
We get sandwiches at Nodo.
The Good Habits, Rational Anthem, and The Slow Retreat, join us for a great night of music at Gabe’s.
We get after-show pizza at Casey’s.
June 5-Omaha, Nebraska
We play The Reverb Lounge with Criminal Neglect, Million Dollar Veins, and Cordial Spew.
Andrew and Bruce, along with their cameras, are with us again.
Standing in front of the venue, talking to skaters, punkers, and the other musicians about the good old days while still living them.
June 6-Sioux Falls, South Dakota
A family of woodchucks forage in the grass next to the Comfort Suites parking lot.
We get coffee at Moon Hollow in Omaha before hitting the road.
We eat the 5th-best burger in town at Club David in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Good hangs and a band photo shoot in the alleyway with Zachary Gannon.
The Degenerates and Chara open the show.
June 7-Sioux City, Iowa
We get coffee and pastries at CH Patisserie in Sioux Falls before heading to Sioux City.
We stop at Casey’s for gas, road provisions, and more coffee.
Upon arrival, we stop by Hardline Coffee Co. in Sioux City for even more coffee.
The kids in Chara make the drive to Sioux City to play with us again, only to be rudely received at the venue. They aren’t having it—and we can’t blame them. If not for the cool people who have come to see us and the fact that we need the reps, we’d be out of here.
When Glue plays, we’re glad we stayed.
A night that starts with bad vibes ends with a real connection—hanging out and talking story with the skaters.
Joined by the moon, we drive through the night back to Des Moines.
